The Tutors

Dr Neel Burton BSc (Hons), MBBS (Lond), MRCPsych, MA Phil, AKC

Neel trained in medicine at King’s College London.  He specialised in psychiatry in Oxford, where he regularly tutors clinical medical students. He is the author of two medical textbooks and has won a number of awards for his teaching, both at Oxford and nationally. Click here to see some of his other books. Apart from running the courses, Neel does most of the one-to-one coaching at Get into Medical School.

Dr Chris Chopdar MA (Oxon), BM BCh (Oxon), MRCPsych

Chris studied at Lincoln College, Oxford. Whilst specialising in psychiatry, he represented the interests of trainees both at the level of his local Trust and at the level of the Oxford Deanery. He currently works as an independent psychiatrist and as a life coach, and, like Neel, also tutors medical students. Chris is the principal author of UKCAT for Dummiesand Get into UK Medical School for Dummies.

Dr Charlotte McIntyre MA (Oxon), BM BCh (Oxon)

Lottie occasionally lends a hand with some of our busier courses. She studied at Green Templeton College, Oxford, and is currently completing her foundation years before specialising in surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, travelling, and wine tasting.

Dr Tom Stockmann MA (Oxon), BM BCh (Oxon)

Like Lottie, Tom occasionally lends a hand with some of our busier courses. He studied at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, and is currently specialising in psychiatry in London. He is co-author of Pocket Tutor Psychiatry and has also written several professional articles on clinical skills. In his spare time, he enjoys running, skiing, painting, and wine tasting.
